Many science leaders nationwide are in different phases of implementing science standards linked to the Framework for K-12 Science Education. An important component of standards derived from the Framework is to ensure equitable access to science for all students. NSELA will provide a full-day professional learning opportunity focused on equity and instruction in science education. Participants will be able to choose from a variety of sessions that will focus on the following topics: Implementing Framework standards through the lens of high-quality instructional materials and assessments Supporting science for all with a focus on equity, inclusion, and elementary science Providing resources for science leaders to support their teachers through professional learning and developing collaborative systems
