The NSELA Board of Directors election is your opportunity to help shape the future of science education leadership. The positions up for election are listed below. Each role carries unique responsibilities and provides a platform for dedicated individuals to contribute to our association's mission. Election Cycle:
Officer Commitment:President-Elect: According to Article IV of the NSELA bylaws, a Presidency candidate must have been an NSELA member for three years and will serve on the Board for a period of three years. Over the three years, he/she will serve as President-Elect, President, and Retiring-President, with each being a one-year term. Regional Director: According to Article VI of the NSELA bylaws, there shall be Regional Directors, elected from geographic regions designated by the Board for a three year term. Regional Directors shall be elected only by the members who reside in that region. Candidates must reside or work in the region for which they have been nominated. You can find more details on this role HERE. Please refer to Section 4.00 of the NSELA Operations Manual for more details. How to Get Involved:Nominate: Are you a passionate and qualified individual who could make a difference as an NSELA leader? Complete the nomination form for a leadership position! Vote: As a member, your voice matters. When the election period begins, cast your vote for the candidates who you believe will best lead NSELA into the future.
