The webinar starts with the latest research from Rise and Thrive with Science PK-5 that focuses on the importance of science instruction and the integration of science with other subjects in PK-5 classrooms. During the session, we focus on the role of reading, writing, and academic discourse in learning science and how elementary teachers can use Scientific Investigations to motivate students to read, write, and engage in discourse.  Strategies for integrating language arts and science will be shared. Participants will learn how to use scientific investigation to build students' understanding of the context of phenomena and increase reading comprehension and writing proficiency.

Please note: A four session book study is also available to dive deeper into strategies to help support teachers and students. Please check out the description for more information.
