Webinar Description:

As schools transition to science instruction aligned with the NRC Framework for K–12 Science Education, administrators play a critical role in recognizing and supporting high-quality instructional shifts.

In this focused webinar for school and district leaders, participants will explore three key look-fors that signal effective 3-dimensional science instruction:

  • Student sensemaking of meaningful phenomena through integrated use of Science and Engineering Practices, Disciplinary Core Ideas, and Crosscutting Concepts

  • Making student thinking visible through models, explanations, and evidence-based argumentation

  • Equitable classroom cultures that elevate all student voices and ideas

This session is not about checklists or evaluation. Instead, it supports leaders in developing a shared vision and language for observing instruction, engaging in reflective conversations, and strengthening implementation of the Framework in science classrooms.
