Curriculum-based professional development

During this session, we will share design features of curriculum-based professional learning. We will illustrate how we used the student perspective, images of classrooms and teacher reflection within the design of professional development for the OpenSciEd middle school curriculum. In addition, we will share results from a study that investigated thirty middle school science teachers’ shifts in beliefs and confidence during the four day introductory OpenSciEd professional development workshop.
